Saturday 22nd September saw the AWB Textiles UK tour roll into Leeds for the North East Region British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapy (BSDHT) Autumn study day at the Garforth Holiday Inn.

Highlight of the show

The keynote speaker was Deepak Simkhada, an eminent leader in the field of the treatment of periodontal disease. His lectures are always delivered with great enthusiasm and humour and the audience always gets great value for money.

Deepak runs his own periodontal training masterclasses around the country details can be found at www.periowithdeepak.com . He also organises a voluntary project in his homeland of Nepal once a year which we are proud to support.

Where are we next?

The next stop on the AWB Textiles tour is Oxford on Friday 28th September for the British Association of Dental Therapists (BADT) annual conference, followed by Tunbridge Wells for the British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapy (BSDHT) SE regional study day on Saturday 29th September.

As Director of Business Development, I see my role as building long term sustainable relationships with customers across all our market sectors, providing the best possible uniform solution suiting the customers image, focus and budget. Having joined the company in 1993, I have over 30 years experience in healthcare clothing and uniform covering the evolution of AWB Textiles from a soley hospital focused textile provider to the broad spectrum healthcare uniform supplier we have become today. I’m also on the national exec of the Society of Hospital Laundry and Linen Service Managers. I’m proud of the history and heritage of AWB and this drives me to provide our customers with the best possible service and the latest innovations in healthcare uniform, be it in style,  function,  fabrics or sustainability. Out of work, I love to travel ( particularly Greece and Italy ), tragically I’m a Stoke City football fan and I love to walk our little Blenheim Cavvie ‘Beau’ around our lovely local area.
