Although we no longer sell this line of workwear we have a great range of Dickies Scrubs and Nurse Uniforms

According to “The Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations of 1992” all employers must make sure  employees are supplied with personal protective equipment to ensure that their employees are safe at work. Taken directly from the AWB textiles website here are 3 pieces of equipment that can be used:

 The Bump Cap

Lighter than the hard hat, the bump cap is a lightweight hat with a similar design to a baseball cap. To give workers that extra safety the bump cap has an internal bump guard to give protection where the worker is at risk from scraping or bumping one’s head. The cap also has an internal foam pad for comfort with a Velcro adjuster to the rear of the cap so it can be fitted to an individual’s head size. It is worth noting that although the bump cap is a useful piece of protective equipment, due to its fragile structures it will not provide protection to larger impacts.

Dickies Safety Goggles:

In areas of work where you at risk of damaging your eyes, safety goggles are paramount to eye safety. By providing a layer of resistance the goggles ensure that various particles, chemicals or any other objects cannot enter the eye as a seal enclosing the eye offers complete protection. To ensure that the workers vision is not affected by damage to the goggles the lenses also have an anti-scratch and anti-fog coating. Although primarily worn in areas of construction work, safety goggles have also been introduced to activities such as snow sports where a risk to eye health has become apparent.

Dickies Ear Defenders:

Permanent damage to the ear can be done if our ears are exposed to excessive loud noises for a prolonged period of time, therefore ear defenders are designed to absorb the sound and prevent the hair cells in our ear from becoming over exhausted when exposed to noise.  The lightweight and robust design combined with the foam filled cushions make for comfortable wearing.
